The Malaysian Ministry of Defence has awarded a MYR5 million (USD1.4 million) contract to a consortium of three local companies for further joint research, development and promotion of their Allianced Unmanned Developmental Research Aircraft (ALUDRA) tactical unmanned aerial vehicle.
The funding went to Composite Technology Research Malaysia (CTRM), System Consultancy Services and Ikramatic System for a four-month mid-term developmental contract. CTRM's chief executive officer, Rosdi Mahmud, said the consortium hoped to secure a final development and production contract within the next three months.
